A client has told you that she or both her and her significant other would like to do an outdoor boudoir shoot. These shoots can be a lot of fun but there are things that should be taken into consideration as you plan the shoot.
* Location- obviously this is one of the most important aspects of the shoot. The location should be both secluded and SAFE! That means safe from predators both animal and human. I like to shoot in state parks and/or locations I am familiar with. I make sure that the park is photographer friendly (like Koreshan State Park in Cape Coral).
*Time of Day- the time of day will vary for optimum lighting conditions. Late afternoon or early evening are always best for what's called the "golden hour". This light is more flattering and I always prefer to use natural light when possible but also use strobes.
*Outfits-have a variety of lingerie or dresses available to change into and find areas the client can change in privacy from both the photographer and/or other people in the area. A changing tent is a great idea and they are portable.
*Bug spray-if you are shooting in Florida you will need this!
*Client-the most important thing to consider is the wishes of the client. Make sure they have a comfort level before, during and after the shoot with images captured.
*Have fun!
