David Stevens
David was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and was the 6th of 7 children. David spent 33 years serving the Jacksonville community as a member of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office before retiring in 2011.
David’s interest in photography was sparked at a young age because his father was an avid photographer who took slide photos of everything from family vacations to plants. David did not get started in photography until his own son was involved in youth sports and David wanted to capture special moments in time. His love for sports and sports photography resulted in his photographing the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguar games. David’s photos were also featured in the University of Notre Dame “Play Like A Champion” youth sportsmanship guide.
After attending Kelly and Kalina Schneider’s One on One Master Class for Boudoir/Fine Art Photography, David began to focus on creating portraits showcasing the beauty of ALL women and the human form. David’s inspiration for highlighting strong confident women were his mother who raised 7 children on her own during the 1960’s and his sister who is 10 years older than David and was tasked with taking care of him while his mother worked 3 jobs.
David is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and his photos have been showcased in numerous magazines, news articles and political brochures. David is also the official photographer for the National Fraternal Order of Police and official photographer for Ms. Universe 2021.
David's images have been published in publications in the U.S. and Internationally.
